Start a sport club or a team

Once you believe it, you need to start to take action. There are so many aspects to have in consideration and a lot of places to start from who to reach, where to compete, and what level to be. The first one... contact a friend to get support for each other. Which friend? That it's up to you at some point both of you will do it together as ONE TEAM.

There are so many aspects to have in consideration during the process although if you have the vision and the passion you will do it. Here you could find some topics to have in consideration: yourself, how to communicate with people, promote your team, establish your organization, insurance, financial, competition, sponsors, etc. My first recommendation is to do the first thing that you believe could work and continue building YOUR confidence for a legit team. If you have any doubt you always can reach your friend to start to plan the next step and after that everything will come.

To simplify things for you, keep in mind the time commitment, focus on people, and manage a budget. Once you have that, start to look for extra resources at your disposal, this could be professionals such as lawyers, CPAs, accountants, financial advisors, experts on the sport, coaches, players, professors, members, or family. These professionals are an example depending on the level that you are at and on the level that you want to compete, and why you do it. Here you can find what type of areas it could go from local, regional, state, or national. Also, having into consideration your level, for example, newbie, amateur, beginner, intermediate, advanced, professional, or Inter. Pro. I think at this point we could create a separate post for areas and levels according to the sport that you are into.

Also, it is important to be organized and here you can find my recommendations for my favorite tools after so many years working and studying IT, managing projects, and my professional career. Also, you can start with a free version.

  • Promote your team, you can use social media tools and everybody can share. Although my favorite is to use a contents management tool, basically a website such as Wix.

  • To stay organized and if you want to delegate tasks, my recommendation is Asana.

  • And when you start to have a community, you could use slack.

In conclusion, once you identify your goals and what you want to accomplish it will be important if you want to build professional relationships or a friendship. One doesn't mean that you cannot have the other, but it will be important for your organization and team to make that difference. For example, The professional has a formal, legal, and ethical relationship with the consumer, and a friend have an informal relationship with one another.

Good luck with your adventure and have fun!
